Summary[edit]

Description
English: Gold hair-ornament, set with pearls, emeralds and sapphires. Ancient Roman jewellery, 3rd century AD, said to be from Tunis. Similar ornaments, worn above the forehead, are known from Palmyrene sculpture at the same date ( among The People of Palmyre, the number 7, on display in the same room ). Room 70, British Museum, GR 1903.7-17.3 ( Jewellery 2866 ).
