| Description |
English: This picture represents one of the many Tamil inscriptions that are carved throughout the temple. These inscriptions record Raja Raja’s reign in detail. These inscriptions bring the entire temple to life. There are inscriptions about the king, queen and King's sister, they also tell us about festivals, dates, and a lot about the culture. This seems like it is done with the anticipation that this must be read and passed on for generations to come, it's like a database that stands for years against calamities, pandemics, war, and mostly time.
