Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bridge at Bray This substantial stone bridge carries the main Wexford to Dublin railway line, and is largely unchanged since the line was first opened in 1854. Built by William Dargan for the Dublin and Wicklow Railway (D&WR) the line went north to Harcourt Street station (now demolished) following the reopening of the original route of the new Luas tram line. A junction at Shankill (to the north) eventually allowed trains to follow the coastline to reach Dublin Pearse station after Harcourt Station was closed.
