Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Bridge Foot, Warrington The bridge is to the right, with the old A49 London road coming down from the left. Its junction with the A57 road from Liverpool was in the town centre. Both roads have been diverted and now meet here. Cromwell's statue stands outside the Warrington Academy building, a non-conformist university which saw scientists like Joseph Priestley through its portals. In 1981 it was moved 19 metres bodily back from its original site to create space for the new road junction. |
