Summary[edit]
DescriptionBrick Chute Weir - geograph.org.uk - 1226683.jpg |
English: Brick Chute Weir The first obstacle encountered by canoeists descending the River Leven from a put-in below the low head dam at the outflow from Windermere, is this weir. At the low level seen here, a route either side of the central chute is safest, but in higher levels the sides form very retentive stoppers and the central chute is the preferred route. The central chute, even in low levels, provides a meaty, if narrow, playspot. |
