Summary[edit]

Description
English: The intersection of Brentwood Parkway with Prospect Drive at the southwest end of the Brentwood Country Club in Brentwood, New York. The country club and golf course was created in 1925 by Devereux Emmet, and the parkway is a two-lane divided highway that suddenly becomes a two-lane undivided highway north of Flick Place, despite the presence of a right-of-way for the northbound lane. The road, which goes as far north as the Long Island Motor Parkway is mysteriously bisected by a green strip between Crescent Drive and south of Laurel Drive, and not so mysteriously bisected by the Long Island Expressway just west of Exit 55.
