Mit einem Schlag drangen die vier Musikanten ins Räuberhaus: Der Esel schrie, der Hund bellte, die Katze miaute und der Hahn krähte. Die Räuber überkam ein heilloser Schrecken bei dem entsetzlichen Geschrei. Sie meinten, ein Gespenst käme zum Fenster herein. Sie flohen in den Wald. Die Musikanten aber taten sich gütlich an Speis und Trank und legten sich dann zur Ruhe. = All at once the four musicians burst into the robbers' house: the donkey brayed, the dog barked, the cat meowed and the rooster crowed. The robbers were terrified at the horrific screams. They thought a ghost was coming in through the window. They fled into the forest.
