Description

The second row of the north aisle represents two sides of the same event :<:br> 1. Burial of a high-ranking nun, an abbess ?...

  • on the right, a priest blesses the body of the deceased in the presence of four figures who could be members of the family
  • in the center, three acolytes hold the accessories that precede the procession and preside over the burial: the cross, the censer, the stoup and the sprinklerand burial: the cross, the censer, the stoup and the sprinkler
  • on the left a priest reads the Gospels surrounded by four nuns

2. Abraham the ferryman of souls

  • on the left an angel brings the soul of the deceased whose exemplary life promises him paradise,
  • on the right Abraham collects the souls of the chosen ones to lead them to paradise.
