Summary[edit]

Description
English: Progress on house-building between Porthkerry and site of former Rhoose cement works as seen from new Pentir-y-de road overbridge over Vale of Glamorgan line and looking west. Rhoose cement works stood ½ mile from here and its quarry, to the left and sea cliffs at Rhoose Point. Pentir-y-de road is accessed from a mini roundabout in Porthkerry road south of Cardiff airport, between Porthkerry village and Rhoose and through the new housing development, eventually again accesses Rhoose village via Rhoose railway level crossing about a mile away from this bridge. Aberthaw "B" power station is perceptible on the skyline.
