all and observatio listed below. NEW LOGAN (Black) of the Logan It seems spoof. outstanding characterises nosaic and other raspberry diseas.-s. ss other black raspberry varieties this is one of the primary reasons popularity. The berry ripens one week earlier than Cumberland. It is a heavier yielder and the glossy black berries are as large as that va- riety. It holds up well through drought, the last pick- ing as fresh and free from seediness as the first. ifty grower, and, although not as upright as owers find this no objection if the topped higher than normal. Purple poor quality. The Webster originated near Brant, N. Y., from a single plant. The fruits are very large and much superior to the old Columbia. In many ways the fruits resemble the New Sodus but are much less tart and have that fine Purple Raspberry flavor. The plant is of medium vigor producing its fruit well in the open. Note prices below. SHUTTLEWORTH (Black) We now offer the Shuttleworth as an improved type of the Plum Farmer making a welcome addition to our Black Raspberry listings. The Shuttleworth originated at Silver Creek, N. Y., on the berry farm of Mr. Shuttle- worth who had been producing Plum Farmer for years. The plants are good thrifty growers, much mere disease resistant than Plum Farmer. Fruit is large and attract- excellent flavor ' bearer " and N. Y. ranks second in acreage of Black Raspberric, â ing exceeded only by the Cumberland. Those who ha mown Plum Farmer should especially welcome Shuttleworth. WEBSTER PURPLE RASPBERRY We are indeed glad to offer this grand Purple Rasp- berry to our customers with a feeling that it will suc- ceed for them and bring them profitable returns. We were compelled to discontinue offering the older varieties of the Purple Raspberries because of being so subject to BOUNTIFUL RIDGE LOW PRICES ON ALL VARIETIES OF RASPBERRY PLANTS ALL PLANTS TRIPLE INSPECTED AND STRICTLY No. 1 GRADE OFFERED All prices are net F.O.B. our Nursery. Without surpassed in productiveness, out-yieldin_ even Ciithbert. Due to its rich, brilliant red color it sells readily on market stands, and in addition is a delightful table berry and almost perfect for canning. The berries are large, round and unusually firm, excep- tionally well suited for shipping to distant markets. It ripens evenly over a very long season. We have some of the finest Latham plants we have ever grown this year. NEWBURG (Red) Gaining in Popularity Each Year Because of Fine Quality and Heavy Production Newburg, a cross between Newman and Herbert, seems to be a most promising variety. The fruit is large, very firm, does not crumble, and is superior to Latham in quality. The color is a bright, attractive red. In keeping and shipping quality it has no super- ior. The plants are rigorous, hardy, and very pro- ductive, in fact, the weight of the fruit is so great that the canes are often bent to the ground. The fruit is borne out in the open where it may be readily pick- ed. It is necessary to support them with a wire along each side of the row. CHIEF (Red) Disease Resistance, High Quality, Consistent Heavy Production Makes Chief Our Leading Early Red Raspberry Ripening ten days before Latham, being equally a; productive as the Latham and of better quality thai the Latham, it should be in every small fruit grower'! planting. By using the Chief for an early red rasp berry, Newburg for a mid-season and Latham for a lat. berrv you have a combination that is bound to give yoi real profits. The Chief originating in the North i: extremely hardy, very vigorous and especially ant to mosaic. Our plants an Chief this year and our prices am. Plan' iberally of
