Description
Deutsch: Die Marktfontaine ist ein Brunnen auf dem Bonner Marktplatz vor dem Alten Rathaus. Dieser wird vom Maximilian-Friedrich-Obelisk gekrönt. Entstanden ist die Anlage 1777 auf Befehl des Kurfürsten. Sie musste von den Bonner Bürgern bezahlt werden, was Unmut unter der Bevölkerung auslöste. Im Hintergrund ist die ebenfalls denkmalgeschützte Fassade des Sternhotels zu sehen.
