English: Boeing Airplane Co. plant interior, Seattle, Washington, n.d.

Jonathan Greene writes, "This is the interior of the Boeing Model 40 factory at that time, now known as the Red Barn, in Seattle. The Boeing Model 40 mailplane was manufactured between 1925 and 1932, having first flown May 20, 1927. Only 77 of these planes were built. The plane on the left is a Model 40B, has tail number 381, and was manufactured on December 1, 1928. This plane was sold to Standard Oil of California on December 11, 1928 and flew from San Francisco to Tucson on January 12, 1929. (Note that the plane in the photo is painted in Standard Oil's custom livery.) My best guess is that this photo was taken in December, 1928." Photographer:
