THEBEATLES!
Bob Bonis
Bob Bonis was the U.S. tour manager for The
Beatles and the Rolling Stones from 1964 to 1966.
A passionate photographer who often had his
Leica M3 around his neck, Bonis took thousands
of photos of The Beatles (and Stones) during the
three-year period, many of which have never
been published or seen before and are featured in
this exhibit. With unlimited access to The Beatles
backstage as well as on tour and onstage, Bonis
has provided history an extraordinary glimpse of
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison
and Ringo Starr during the height of Beatlemania.

" "Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles!" is a traveling exhibit curated by the GRAMMY Museum® and Fab Four Exhibits that explores the impact The Beatles' arrival had on American pop culture, including fashion, art, advertising, media and music, from early 1964 through mid-1966 – when the British boy band was at its peak. On display will be more than 400 pieces of memorabilia, records, rare photographs, tour artifacts, video, and instruments from private collectors and the GRAMMY Museum, including the original Ludwig drum head Ringo played on "The Ed Sullivan Show." It even includes an oral history booth where visitors can leave their own impressions of the timeless group. Photos by Lauren Gerson. " |
