Summary[edit]

This exposed Prairie du Chien sandstone, known as Blue Rock, which typically displays horizontal stratification, was uplifted by the impact and forced to the edge of the crater. This photo is a synthetic composite of multiple photos stiched together to create a panorama to give context to the geology.
