Description
English: Blue Lagoon and Abereiddi Tower Slate from the quarry would have travelled via a tramway to the dressing yards at Porthgain. The quality of the slate could not compete with that being extracted from the North Wales quarries. Quarrying ceased around 1910 and the quarry was allowed to flood.
