Description
Italiano: Capitello "nabateo" reimpiegato nella Blue Chapel di Petra, in Giordania La "Blue Chapel" è quella della residenza del vescovo di Petra, situata sul lato nord della via colonnata, e fu sistemata nel V-VI secolo, riutilizzando fusti di colonna in granito bluastro dall'Asia Minore con capitelli nabatei e basi provenienti da un precedente edificio. Il complesso episcopale riutilizava un edificio precedente forse di uso militare. Le colonne crollarono nel terremoto del 748-749 e la cappella è stata scavata nel 2000-2001 dall'American Centre of Oriental Research, sotto la direzione di Patricia M. Bikai.
