Nederlands: Objectgegevens Titel: Bleyensteinse duit, ofwel ‘Lanschotje’ Beschrijving: Vz: tekst. Kz: wapen, ovaal schild omgeven door twee lauriertakken. Herkomst: In deze tijd was er een groot gebrek aan kleingeld. Om dit tekort aan kleingeld op te vangen werden door verschillende lieden koperen muntjes in Duitsland besteld en met tonnen vol naar Nederland gehaald. Ook de Utrechtse kruidenier Bleyenstein kwam op het idee om de koperen muntjes vanuit Duitsland hier heen te halen en deze als duit in omloop te brengen. Tegelijkertijd haalde ook de bankier Franciscus van Lanschot uit Den Bosch deze zelfde muntjes uit Duitsland hierheen. Het muntje is op deze wijze aan verschillende namen gekomen namelijk: Bleyensteinse duit (naar de kruidenier), Bossche duit (naar de plaats den Bosch) en Lanschotje (naar de bankier uit den Bosch).
