Another custom of Durga Puja is blessing

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The beginning of Durga Puja from the mythological story. Durga Puja is the biggest festival of Bengali Hindus. When we hear the name Durga, a goddess appears before our eyes. He has ten kinds of weapons in his ten hands, one foot on the back of a lion, one foot on the shoulder of a demon. He is surrounded by Ganesha, Lakshmi, Saraswati and Kartik Tagore. The autumn Durgotsava, which is celebrated today, is considered by many to be a version of the Durga Puja described in the Ramayana. Traditionally Goddess Durga was worshiped during the spring season. But due to the war, Ramachandra prayed for the blessings of the goddess in the autumn season. Since then, the worship of Goddess Durga has become popular in autumn. The autumn Durga Puja is known as Shardotsava and is celebrated on a grand scale in all Bengali-dominated areas. Mother Durga is always eager for the welfare of her children. Mother blesses her child on this day of Durga Puja. Such a conversion of a religious event into a social festival cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
