Description
English: This illustration was published on the first page of the Friday, April 12, 1918 edition of the New York Times. The drawing was in conjunction with a story on what was subsequently to be known as the "Sixtus Affair," detailing the behind the scenes information related to Emperor Karl I's secret peace offer to the Allies, without notifying his Imperial German allies.
