Summary[edit]

Description
English: Blackwell Grange Hotel. Once the home of Tunstall's collection of bird skins, between leaving Wycliffe Hall and coming to rest in the Hancock Museum, Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1822. There used to be a plaque by a fireplace in the foyer attesting to this, but on my last visit it had disappeared. It mentioned I recall that George Allan (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Allan_(antiquary)) had been the collection's custodian there.
