Description
English: Birmingham Canal below Lock No 17, Wolverhampton This is the main line canal from Birmingham - looking towards Aldersley Junction where James Brindley had it meet the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. This gave a route to the Rivers Severn at Stourport, and Trent near Shardlow, and north to the potteries, Chester, the Mersey and Manchester.
