Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Birkenhead Woodside railway station (site)
Opened in 1878 by the Birkenhead Joint Railway as a replacement station for the nearby Monk's Ferry station, this became the terminus of the line from London Paddington. The station closed in 1967. Looking away from the site of the buffers, one of the few remains is the large retaining wall on the right and the road bridge over where the station throat tracks would have been. View west, although the line curved southwards from here.
