A CLASS AT MORTON PARK SCHOOL, CICERO, ILLINOIS(227) 228 Bird - Lore valuable birds are to man, and will pro-tect and spare them. Rather more formal than most, theJunior Class at the Practice School ofthe Agricultural College of Mississippimay offer some suggestions to other clubs.It is under the supervision of Miss AdaJoyce Foster. This society, Miss Foster writes,grew out of the daily studies in nature-work, and the children have become very and in other good ways. The society,as a whole, obligates itself to devote atleast one day in each month to the studyof bird-life, and discussions of their ownobservations. Instead of this, they havegiven ten or fifteen minutes each day inthe week, except Wednesday, on whichday we have an hours lecture with thepicture-slides. Through the study of birds, they havelearned much of insect-life; groupinginsects, as they do the birds, into thegood and the bad. Prof. R. N. Lob-
