Description
A bird's eye view of the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, featuring University Hall in the top left of the photo and the Gymnasium and Armory in the upper right. A series III postcard from the Columbus Dispatch, issued in November-December of 1906. Ohio State University opened in September 1873 as the Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College. In 1878, with the broadening of their curriculum, the name of the college was changed in the Ohio State University. It has become one of the largest universities in the United States.
