Bruckner in the Facsimile edition of the Moutier-Grandval Bible (1971) p. 99 there are similar bookbindings in the University Libraries of Basel and Bern. The Decoration of the Moutier-Grandval Bible bookbinding is identical with roll stamps Nb 4 & 5 on page 187 of Johannes Lindt : Berner Einbände, Bern 1969. The stamp Nb 4 is however identical to the stamp Nb 80 on page 89 of the same book. This stamp belonged to the Basle Bookbinder Mathias Apiarius. However Mathias Apiarius sold some of his stamps to the printer Peter von Mecheln after 1533."
