Description
English: Created by the artist, Lothar Deitz, in Munich, Germany, during the early 1930's and commissioned by Frederick Walker (Casey) Baldwin in Nova Scotia, Canada, in memory of his daughter, Elizabeth, who died of tuberculosis on May 12, 1932, at the age of 17. There is an obvious resemblance to the Mermaid of Copenhagen
