Summary[edit]

Description
English: "Glinka-Haus" in Berlin Mitte, Mohrenstraße 64, also situated at Mauerstraße, Glinkastraße and Zietenplatz, here seen from the corner of Mohrenstraße and Glinkastraße. The house was built by architect Bodo Ebhardt as administration building for the insurance firm Allianz (its headquarters were located in the same block). The columns at the southern facade related to the nearby Dreifaltigkeitskirche (Trinity Church), which was destroyed in WWII. In 1950, the building was altered and became seat of the "German-Soviet Friendship Society". At the same time, a relief by Olly Wallschmidt was placed at the facade on Glinkastraße. It shows a portrait of Russian composer Mikhail I. Glinka and an inscription. The building is landmarked.
