| Description |
English: Ben Griam Beg. Just below the summit, these are effectively ruined town walls. Ben Griam Beg is the site of the highest hillfort in Scotland (590m), and the walls remain in good condition. Now set amongst subarctic vegetation on a wind blasted hilltop, the climate must have been much warmer when this was an inhabited settlement. Below the walls there is evidence of settlement around the fort on the lower hillsides. |
