Summary[edit]

Description
English: The parts of the mechanical bell used in the 9801AR. The electromagnet coil causes the armature pin (to its right in the picture) to shuttle back and forth, hitting the bell. The bell is deliberately non-circular, by rotating it (by turning the lower cover) the travel of the armature and thus the volume of sound is adjustable.
