Summary[edit]

Description
English: Vajra Cross. Cloud Terrace Arch, Juyong Guan

The vajra cross (double dorje) is an important symbol in Tibetan Buddhism that carries, among several other meanings, the idea of Buddhist Consciousness. Here the vajra cross is augmented by a Daoist taiji emblem at its center, making a syncretic, Sino-Tibetan, statement about the ultimate nature of reality.
