Description

Ever wonder what it’s like driving to a wildfire? Well, it is scary and dangerous, as this video shows from inside a BLM firetruck driving to the Reach Fire, part of the Chelan Complex in north-central Washington.

The Chelan Complex wildfires began Aug. 14, 2015, and grew to be nearly 90,000 acres in size, as of a month later.

This video was captured the day the fire started last month, and shows scenes from U.S. 97 and Hwy. 971.
