Title
English: Beaux Arts Village gazebo on bridge, ca. 1910
Description
English: Beaux Arts Village, a lakeside community near Bellevue, Washington, was originally established in 1908 by several Seattle members of the Society of Beaux Arts, including Alfred Renfro. The isolated artists colony, created for members to live and work in a natural setting, included ten acres for community outdoor recreation, art studios and craft workshops. At the time there was no electricity or phone service, and water had to be carried from the lake.

This photo shows two people relaxing on the pier in front of an open-air gazebo with a sign above the door reading "Beaux Arts."

  • Subjects (LCTGM): Bridges--Washington (State)--Bellevue; Gazebos--Washington (State)--Bellevue; Lakes & ponds--Washington (State)--Bellevue; Piers & wharves--Washington (State)--Bellevue

Despite MOHAI's title for this, this appears to be a pier, not a bridge.
