Description Before (top) and after (low) a photo retouche work on an image of a Minolta XG9 SLR camera with lens 58mm f1.2 from about 1979. The detailed changes are listed further below. Main goal was to reduce/eliminate the various signs of age and use on the camera body. The software used were the free softwares GIMP and also IrfanView, not Photoshop, which was only used in the image title for better understanding.

Modifications: In comparison to the original picture above, the following changes were made to it to arrive at the reworked image below: Removed fur in background, removed camera belt, removed/'repainted' shiny parts in left lower and upper edge where brass of camera body came through the black material covering it, removed scratches on body left from camera lens, removed signs of wear in lowermost area of body, removed small stains and dust particles on camera lens.
