500px provided description: These houses were located in the middle of quite a big Krupp smeltery. The management had to live on site in these houses. Today, some of them have been renovated and are in use again, some are still left deserted. The smeltery has been salvaged in the 90ies of the last century, there are only a few traces left. The area is now part of Logport Duisburg-Rheinhausen, a logistics center. So still not a quiet place in the countryside...
