| Description | Hampton: Computational thinking is often an advantage of coding educators highlight. An additional benefit is using the Growth Mindset ideology to help students view their mistakes as useful. Using the Kodable.com program as a reinforcement of this strategy, here students from Bassette Elementary School in Hampton City Schools, embrace the concept of failure. They use the lessons from their failures, learn from it and make provisions to prevent it from happening again. When students view their setbacks as useful, they are not easily frustrated with the learning process. It serves as a valuable skill that can be transferred across curriculums, setting a foundation for our little scholars." |
