Notes
Français : L'épitaphe gravée sur le socle précise le nom et la date de décès du défunt. La position assise, celle d'un homme ayant revêtu une magistrature est rare dans la statuaire funéraire d'Orient. Cette position, le vêtement grec et le rouleau apparaissent comme autant d'éléments cherchant à renvoyer une image de respectabilité du défunt.
