Summary[edit]

Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A-3B Skywarrior (BuNo 138947) of Heavy Attack Squadron 10 (VAH-10) "Vikings", Detachment Bravo, hits the crash barrier aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64). VAH-10 Det.B was assigned to Carrier Air Group 14 (CVG-14) aboard the Constellation for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 21 February to 10 September 1963.
138947 crashed due to a structural failure during a launch from USS Oriskany on 25 May 1965 while in service with VAH-2. All four crewmembers were recovered.
