Field with barley in Serbian village

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Serbian villages are full of fields where various agricultural crops are grown. The most common are cereals, which are used to feed people and livestock. Wheat, sunflower, rye, oats, but also barley are most often grown. Barley is a highly valued grain among Serbs, because in the past they made bread from it, because wheat bread was much more expensive and often inaccessible to Serbian peasants. The cultivation of this culture has continued to this day.
