Description
English: Barbican Hall, near to London, City of London, Great Britain.

The concert hall at The Barbican.
On stage, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Chorus, awaiting their conductor Sir Colin Davis, at the start of his 80th birthday Gala Concert.

We were treated to Gidon Kremer playing the Elgar Violin Concerto, and Mozart's Requiem. Both were superb performances, and I would have been happy to have heard either piece on its own, but the combination made for a sublime evening.
