The barber chair he is sitting in has an elevated footrest; his feet are resting on it. The man is facing away from the barber and into the mirror hung on the wall. He is wearing a suit. A light colored towel is spread across his shoulders and upper back. The barber is standing to the customer's side and facing the camera. He has a light colored shirt on, a darker vest, darker trousers, and a moustache. The wall the customer is facing has a floral lamp suspended from the ceiling. The lamp is close to the wall's corner. There is a large picture hung on the wall between the lamp and the barber's mirrors and cabinet. The mirror and cabinet are quite ornate. The mirror is divided into three sections and is framed in wood. The center section has carving above it. The cabinet is also divided into three sections. The center section is lower than the other sections. Larger drawers appear to be beneath this section. The other two sections have a number of smaller drawers.
