Summary[edit]

Description

This bank on Queen St. near Simcoe St. is a good example of the style of financial industry architecture that was been popular througout much of the past century.

There are similar examples of these stone boxes sprinkled all over the city - though fewer and fewer of them still operate as banks. In fact, I have seen them transformed into everything from dollar stores to upscale pubs and restaurants.
