DescriptionBank of America Tower 001.jpg |
Completed in 2009, the Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park was designed by Cook+Fox Architects. It is 55 stories high and has about 200,000 m2 of office space. With its 78-meter tall spire, at the time of completion the building was the second tallest in New York after the Empire State Building. The Tower was designed to be one of the most efficient and ecologically friendly buildings in the world. Water conservation features in the tower include waterless urinals. The green/blue tower to the left is 1095 Avenue of the Americas, known by many as "the Verizon Building" (Verizon used to have its world headquarters here before they moved to Wall Street). Built in the 70's, it was extensively renovated in 2006, including recladding the facade in energy efficient glass. |
