Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A Balloonar Eclipse may occur during the deflation of a hot air balloon. As the balloon is deflated, the sky becomes visible through the upper aperture of the balloon which is normally closed by the balloon's parachute vent. If the moon is positioned in the sky at the appropriate angle, it will become visible within that upper aperture for a short time, then disappear behind the balloon's parachute vent, then become visible again. The moment of the moon's disappearance behind the parachute vent is the Balloonar Eclipse. The first known Balloonar Eclipse occured on September 28, 2013 in Palm Springs, California.
