At the highest of the arcature, the Virgin in majesty presents the Child Jesus sitting on his knees. (Decor made on a blue background, color of the Virgin Mary).
The archangel Gabriel.
. Une vierge dépose aux pieds de Marie, une maquette des thermes, elle est suivie d'une cohorte de sept vierges portant les attributs des litanies de la Vierge Marie.
St. Clare and St. Teresa of Avila.
From right to left: Ste Marie Salome, St. Helena, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Veronica, St. Cecilia, St. Catherine, St. Agnes, St. Margaret, St. Agatha.
Three women, allegories of the pain of the soul, of heart and of the body.
On the degrees we can see the Apostles St Paul (in the features of Deputy Mayor C. Tron) and St. Peter, then St John the Baptist and St John the Evangelist. The prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah and finally Abraham and Jacob.
St Louis presents the crown of thorns next to St Joseph; following the Martyrs St Stephen, St Laurent, St Gervais, St Protais.
Coronation of Mary by J.C. in Paradise as indicated by the golden background. On each side two kneeling angels and two theurgic angels bless the scene. On the belt of the dome you can read the inscription: Veni de Libano sponsa mea Veni of Libano coronaberis ( Come from Lebanon my promise, come from Lebanon, you will be crowned. ). .
On a background of azure the composition evokes the Divine Liturgy which parallels Jesus perceived as a victim to Golgotha and Jesus Son of God, represented by the priest during the Eucharist. On the left, two representations of the sacrifice of Calvary: six angels carry the instruments of the Passion, six others the unblemished lamb. On the right 12 angels carry the instruments of the sacrifice of the Mass. On the lower belt the inscription proclaims: Hostiam and oblationem nolluisti, tunc dixit: Ecce ego sum. ( You refused the host and the prayer, so I said: here I am )
