Summary[edit]

Description The train station in Bad Ragaz is about 800 m north of the village center. On July 30, 1858, the first train stopped in Ragaz on its maiden voyage from St. Gallen to Chur. In 1862 a new straight street to the village was built. Before that, the station was connected to the village via the narrow Kirchgasse. Where the post buses wait today, horse-drawn carriages used to stand ready (<a href="https://swiss.nailizakon.com/b/bad-ragaz/bahnhof-1930.jpg" rel="noreferrer nofollow">1930</a>). So not much has changed. There is no disturbing <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/kecko/albums/72157713436243396">signal box</a> building, because it was built underground on the right side.
