Description
Deutsch: Blick auf das Gradierwerk der Saline Bad Kösen. Die Versuche der Solegewinnung reichen in Bad Kösen bis 1681 zurück. Mit dem Bau des 325 Meter langen Gradierwerkes begann ab 1779 der zielgerichtete Ausbau der Saline. Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts arbeitete diese an der Grenze der Leistungsfähigkeit. Der Betrieb wurde 1858 eingestellt, da die Salzgewinnung als Lagerstätten effektiver war. Zu Badezwecken konnte die Soleförderung jedoch fortgesetzt werden, so dass die Anlage bis heute als technisches Denkmal erhalten blieb.
