| Description |
English: Bach Island A feature of Bach Island that stands out very well from any distance is the little tor in the centre that rises 18m above sea level - a very good landmark when crossing from Mull as I just had. Get much closer than this photo was taken, however, and it disappears from view behind the foreground rocks which, on this southwest side, rise quite steeply from the water. This is the side that gets most swell, and there seems to be nowhere to land a kayak, but perhaps, in a sea even calmer than this, and with a group (not a solo kayaker as I was), it might be possible to effect a landing at the southeast tip or on the north, especially at low tide. |
