Description
English: Operation Van Buren was a combined allied operation of Military Forces of the Republic of Korea, Republic of Vietnam and the United States 101st Airborne Division. The operation was to deny the vital rice harvest to the Vietcong. 2 LT Daniel Hill, B Company, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, sets fire to a hut in one of the small villages.
