Summary[edit]

Description
Nederlands: Water symboliseert in dit kunstwerk de bron van kennis en de groei naar volwassenheid en bewustzijn. Het staat deels in de hal van het VeenLanden College, deels op het schoolplein en deels in de vijver. Binnen in de school is de bron, in de vorm van een tong waarover het water wegstroomt in een bochtige waterloop. De tong is een metafoor van taal en communicatie. Vanuit het schoolgebouw gaat de waterloop slingerend in twee gedeelten over het schoolplein en een graskant naar een vijver. In die vijver drijft een waterbloem met tongen als bladeren, terugwijzend naar de school. De cirkel van kennis is rond. Over de gehele lengte van de waterloop is op de bodem met bronzen letters een tekst aangebracht:
