Summary[edit]

Description

Vickers Viking G-AGRU first flew from Brooklands in July 1946. With fabric outer wing panels converted to metal at Southend in 1948, it flew with BEA, British West Indian Airways (as VP-TAX), Kuwait Oil Co, and finally Channel Airways until January 1964. "Vagrant" then became a cafe in Holland, returning for preservation at Cosford in 1979. In 1991 it was appropriately loaned to the Brooklands Museum, thereby returning to its birthplace.
